Location

Located on the island’s north-western coast, Ialysos is the second-largest town on the island of Rhodes. Situated near the site of the ancient Doric polis of Ialysos, it was one of the three ancient cities of Rhodes, alongside Kamiros and Lindos. It was the homeland of the famous ancient boxer Diagoras of Rhodes, a multiple winner of the ancient Olympics and the antiquity’s most famous sportsman. 

Today Ialysos is one of the most important island resorts in Greece - its modern tourist infrastructure expands along the entire length of the beach, packed with excellent hotels, stores and restaurants, lively pubs and nightclubs. And with water sports centres, nature and historical sightseeing locations thrown in too, Ialysos is a multifaceted resort, full of possibilities and adventures.
